MiclnGrace Studios Come Back Into Frame


MiclnGrace Studios has reopened after months of lockdown, resuming work on its debut action-comedy Liarholics Anonymous. Co-founder Grace Norman stressed that safety remains a top priority, with strict protocols such as mask-wearing, social distancing, temperature checks, and on-site medics in place.
Despite changes to daily operations, the studio is committed to maintaining high production values while embracing creative solutions like technology and special effects. Set in Sandhurst, the film explores themes of sexuality, deception, and the emotional turmoil that comes with modern relationships.

The upcoming action-comedy series Liarholics Anonymous, starring talents like Yonda, was filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic with strict safety measures in place. Producer Grace Norman emphasized that protocols such as social distancing, mask-wearing, regular sanitization, and temperature checks were strictly followed.
Despite operational changes, the team maintained high production quality by using creative storytelling techniques, including special effects and technology. Set in Sandurdt, Sandton, the show features a star-studded cast and promises an exciting and innovative production.

MiclnGrace Studios is set to film the multi-million dollar action movie Rouge Taze – Mission Dark Moon in Sandton, featuring South Africa’s high-speed Gautrain for the first time on screen. Directed by South African-born Michael “Micl Snr” Norman, the film explores espionage, corruption, and power struggles, with a strong push for authentic African representation in leading roles.
Producer Grace Norman highlighted challenges in local support but credited corporate partners for enabling access to iconic locations, boosting both cinema and tourism. With its international appeal and bold vision, the team believes the film has Oscar-winning potential.
Hollywood Comes To Bryanston


MiclnGrace Studios, a fully black-owned Hollywood film company founded by South Africans Michael “Micl Snr” Norman and Grace Norman, is launching its African branch in Bryanston on 24 April. The studio aims to introduce Hollywood-style action films while telling authentic African stories with local actors and producers.
With state-of-the-art facilities and a focus on action, comedy, thrillers, and TV series, the company plans to retain African intellectual property while producing world-class content. Grace Norman emphasized skill transfer, collaboration with local creatives, and creating fresh narratives that move beyond stereotypes of black Africans.

Founded in 2011 by Michael “Micl Snr” Norman and Grace Norman, MiclnGrace Studios is the only fully black-owned South African studio in Hollywood. With award-winning creatives and three divisions in film production, post-production, and entertainment, the studio offers world-class facilities and artist support.

East London couple Michael and Grace Norman founded the award-winning MiclnGrace Studios, which began in Hollywood and has now expanded to Johannesburg. The studio produces films, TV shows, and live entertainment, with a focus on authentic African storytelling, action, and high-quality international content.
Their goal is to build Africa’s ultimate motion picture studio, empowering local creatives and challenging outdated narratives in South African cinema. With plans to expand to Dubai, the Normans continue to fuse their passion for music and film into a global creative force.
SA’s ‘Project X’ Hits The Action Spot


If ever there was a film that could best describe South Africa’s current political situation with its scandals on corruption within our government, Project X hits all the right notes.
Not to be confused with the 2012 high school party flick, Project X is a 13-minute action film that tells the tale of a South African assassin bent on exposing the ills that occur within a government facility - the CIA.
The short film received three awards of merit from the Best Shorts Competition, based in Los Angeles, continually showcasing South Africa’s amazing skills at creating stories.
